We have done considerable travel, a lot of it to run marathons and half marathons. This trip to Egypt, was right up there with a trip we took with Jacqui to Kenya. So much positive to say, that it is hard to know where to begin. From the moment we landed in Cairo, we were relieved to see Shoddy, a local guide, with a sign. He guided us through the process of arrival, and put us in a van with another sweet local, who took us to our off the grid hotel, that we had booked on our own, as we arrived early. The next day we joined the group and began our ten day adventure. The hotel in Cairo was fantastic, the service superb, the food awesome. We could always chose traditional Egyptian food, or a fare that was more European. Our outings and tours were many, as there is so much history to see. the local tour guides were so knowledgeable, and experts... Our Cairo guide was humorous as well. What else can be said but WOW WOW WOW to the history we were immersed in. The pyramids, the tombs, the magnificent statues, and carvings. I am still in awe. My only regret is that I didn't educate myself before I traveled to one of the most awe inspiring sites of early civilization. The Grand Egyptian Museum was world class in every way, the exhibits, the architecture, the setting. Every detail was taken care of, our safety assured, so much so that we could just enjoy the trip and not fret about the next step. The Coddiwomple team were the best. We had known Jacqui from previous trips, so it was a pleasure to get to know Scott and Christine. And Christine actually was also very well educated in Egyptology! The Half Marathon was epic, running in the shadow of the great pyramids of Giza. The crowd was enthusiastic and well behaved. I loved the course, and running with people from all over the world. The award ceremony would have been fun, but Scott made sure to provide our own Coddiwomple celebration. The extension was out of this world. I think I need to cruise the great rivers of the world...We were sailing the Nile!!! I could have spent a little more time on my balcony reading of what we had seen, or were about to see. Luxor and its temples, the Valley of the Kings, the temple of Hapshepsut. So many temples, all of them grand. I loved a little extra trip to a Nubian Village, on a smaller boat, to get a feel for that culture, and actually put our feet in the Nile! And the highlight of the trip was new friends, and seeing some friends from past trips. The group was the perfect size, allowing a chance to get to know the others. I LOVED, LOVED that, and will travel again with Coddiwomple just because of that!!

The trip to Egypt was an incredible experience. Everything was well organized, felt safe, and was easy to navigate from start to finish. The half marathon course was very challenging, but running in such an extraordinary setting made it completely worth it. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I would absolutely recommend.

The best international trip I've taken, because it was planned by Scott and his partners. So many non-stop experiences and great food and accomodations. Not many people have traveled to Egypt and this is the best group to go with. The weather is always beautiful because it doesn't rain in Egypt. The race has a distance for every one with lots of fun and great people. So sign up for next year and you will have a great time.

As a solo woman traveler who has never left the USA. I had a phenomenal time in Egypt with Coddiwomple tour group. I would consider this trip priceless. I never once felt I was in danger. I knew I was safe the whole time I was there. I have a love for Egyptology. This trip exceeded my expectations with all the sites we got to see. I honestly didn't want to leave. The country and history is absolutely beautiful. I don't do marathons but I was welcomed opened arms by the nicest people. I am an example that you don't have to run to be part of this group. I know I have gained friends for a life. I hope to see them on other parts of the world. Scott, Jacqui and Christine are wonderful people who provided a trip of a lifetime. A dream to me. If you have an opportunity to take this trip. Take it!! It's a trip you never regret.

Great trip! This was my second time in Easter Island, first time was 10 years ago. It's still a great trip and Jacqui was amazing as always. She is the main reason I went on this trip. I like the fact that the group was small and no one got lost in the crowd. This trip is a must!
