Day 1 - June 23

Upon arrival into Santiago, Chile (SCL), meet your local guide for a private transfer to the Renaissance Santiago. Although check in is 3:00pm, feel free to check your luggage with the bellman and explore the city on your own. Tonight, we will gather for a welcome reception and trip briefing.

Day 2 - June 24

After breakfast, we will depart for a tour of the port city of Valparaiso, a World Heritage Site. With its captivating architecture, narrow streets, steep funiculars, colorful houses, and multiple viewpoints, you will see why this is such a wonderful stop. We will then continue to Vina del Mar, known as the Garden City where you can grab lunch at one of the many local restaurants to try some fresh seviche (lunch is not included). We have one more stop before we head back today. Our final stop will be for a wine tasting in the Casablanca Wine Valley. We will drive deep into the valley to visit Casas del Bosque Winery, where we will be taken to the production areas, have time to stroll around the winery grounds and taste a range of fine wines. Afterwards, we will return to Santiago. (B)

Day 3 - June 25

After breakfast today, you have the option to explore on your own or experience a local cooking class. Your experience includes transportation, a tour through the central market before you head to the kitchen at Restaurant El Galeon, where you will learn and prepare for your lunch. Lunch will conclude around 1:15PM and you will be transferred back to the hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. (B)

 After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for your flight from Santiago to Easter Island. Upon arrival, you will receive a warm welcome at the airport and then be transferred to Hotel Nayara Hangaroa. Enjoy a leisurely activity at your own pace for the rest of the day.  (B)

 Start your day with a delightful breakfast before embarking on a journey to Orongo, Rano Raraku, and Ahu Tongarik (three quintessential archeological sites on the island) Immerse yourself in the fascinating history, culture, and nature of this beautiful island. In the evening, join us for a pre-race pasta party and briefing in preparation for the marathon the following day. (B, L, D)

Day 6 - RACE DAY!!!

Start the day with an early breakfast, followed by a bus ride to the marathon starting point in Anakena, and enjoy the scenic marathon route alongside giant statues and the beautiful coastline. Conclude your run at the finish line set up at the hotel. Enjoy a post-race dinner to celebrate with fellow runners in the evening. Two categories are available: Full Marathon and Half Marathon. (B,D)


There is a four (4) hour time limit for the half marathon.

After breakfast, feel free to explore the island on your own. There are various fun activities available, including horseback riding, snorkeling, diving, and stargazing. Anyone interested in skydiving?

June 30, 2025

Enjoy breakfast and then prepare for departure. We'll arrange for your transfer to the airport for your flight back to Santiago. Upon arrival back into Santiago, you will either connect to your onward journey home, or transfer to your hotel in Santiago.


Due the expected late arrival from Easter Island back into Santiago, you may consider confirming accommodations at the Holiday Inn Airport Santiago Hotel. Accommodations for this evening are not included in the Four Night Easter Island package, but they are included as a component of the Santiago Pre-Trip.


Are you travelling onward to Machu Picchu? We will spend the evening at the Holiday Inn Airport Santiago before flying to Cusco tomorrow.

Day 9 - July 1

Travel to Cusco, Peru

For those not joining the extension to Machu Picchu, you will be flying home or onward to your next destination. Safe travels.


Commencement of the Machu Picchu Extension: We will have an early breakfast before departing for the airport for our flight from Santiago to Cusco (Peru). A short, but spectacular flight over snowcapped Andes ti the oldest inhabited city in the hemisphere, at an altitude of 11,440".


Upon arrival, a host will meet and assist you in transferring to the hotel and registration. (B)



Day 10 - July 2

Cusco - Free Day

After breakfast this morning, we will enjoy a tour of Cusco and nearby ruins.  A delightful combination of Inca and colonial architecture, you will enjoy the ancient capital city of the Incas. The tour visits important landmarks such as Cusco's Cathedral, Santo Domingo Church, Plaza de Armas and Koricancha, "Th Temple of the Sun". This tour of the oldest continuously city on the western hemisphere also includes the nearby ruins of Kenko, Puca-Pucara, Tambomachay, as well as the Sacsayhuaman fortress, an imposing example of the Inca military architecture.

Day 11 - July 3

Cusco - Machu Picchu

After breakfast we will take a morning train ride through the sacred valley of Urubamba to the "Lost City of the Incas"", Machu Picchu. Perched 8,200" about the valley, it was hidden by mountains and semi-tropical jungles for more than 400 until (re) discovered by Hiram Bingham in 1911. Archeologists believe that the Inca "Virgins if the Sun" took refuge from the Spanish Conquistadors here. We will experience a guided tour of the ruins. We will have the opportunity to grab lunch at a number of local establishments. We will spend the evening in Aguas Caliente. Tonight, we will share a group dinner.  (B, L, D)

Day 12 - July 4

Machu Picchu Pueblo - Free Day

After breakfast this morning we will have the opportunity to explore the region more.   You have the option to return to Machu Picchi for more pictures and exploring, or hike the steep stone-paved trail to Huayna Picchu, the pyramid shaped mountain above Machu Picchu for a breathtaking "condor view" of the citadel (reservation and extra fee are needed). Or stroll to the Inca Bridge, a second entrance used by the Inca's army or walk toward the Inca Trail to find the historic Intipunku or "Sun Gate" or visit Manuel Chavez Museum or hike in Mandor Valley or just enjoy the thermal springs of the town. (B, D)

Machu Picchu - Pueblo/Cusco

After breakfast, we will take the train back to Cusco. We will spend the evening at the Aranwa Cusco Boutique Hotel. (B)

Cusco

 Wandering through this lovely city, exploring the astonishing narrow streets of this tile roof colonial town will be your unforgettable experience. You will find something new and exciting at every turn. Great buys are the traditional Peruvian handicrafts, alpaca-wool sweaters and rugs, ponchos, pottery gold and silver jewelry, leather goods and more. Because there are such a variety of products, we strongly suggest that when find a particular product that you like, buy it - you may not find the same item in other stores.  (B)

Cusco to Lima

After breakfast, we transfer to the airport for our flight to Lima. Upon arrival, a host will meet and assist you in transferring to the hotel. This evening we spend the night at the Holiday Inn Lima Airport. (B)

Departure for Home

After breakfast this morning, you will be transferred to the Lima Airport for your flight home or onward. (B)
